How it works

Be a Team Lead!

As a Team Lead, you will play an essential role in the TCTM experience. All you need is an eagerness to learn about the climate crisis and share that experience with others. No climate expertise required!

Join an upcoming info session this Fall to see if becoming a Team Lead is right for you!

Why you matter:

  • You will be a point of contact, a support and guide for your team as they navigate through the (sometimes scary) topic of climate change.

What you do:

  • Recruit your team.
  • Facilitate discussions.
  • Provide support and additional materials.
  • Answer every climate question imaginable. Let us know any questions or topics that came up in your discussions.

What you gain:

  • A safe and supportive space to hone your faciliation skills.
  • Access to a growing network with other veteran and emerging climate leaders.
  • Climate-related volunteer experience and training to further your career & advocacy.
  • An opportunity make a meaningful contribution towards reversing climate change.

I participated as a Team Lead and found it easy to do, after recruiting some participants. Everything was laid out for users. Emails with links to resources were sent before and after too. Very well organized presentation.

Recruit your team

  • Reach out to your network and invite them to sign up for the course! We provide resources and advice on outreach strategies for team gathering. We hope that each Team Lead can invite five (or more!) of their friends, family, or colleagues to join the experience.

The course!

Each episode is 90 minutes. For the first 60 minutes of each episode, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy learning alongside your team members. For the final 30 minutes, you and your team will be sent to a break-out room. Here you will ask questions, facilitate discussion and foster a comfortable and positive space for your group to share about climate change. We provide suggested questions and lots of support!

Talk climate

After the course, keep talking about why climate matters to you.

Bonus: keep in touch with your team members to keep momentum and join our Team Lead alumni network.

Are you ready to have fun and make an impact?
